Say the nice thing.
Anonymously.
Send compliments to people at your school without putting your name on them, and vote in daily polls about your classmates. Every message leaves clues — spend whisprs to work out who it was.
Free to download. Clues are earned by playing, never bought.
How it works
Three things, and none of them require you to be brave.
Send something kind
Pick a classmate, write a compliment or a harmless bit of tea, and send it without your name attached.
Vote in today's polls
Fresh questions every morning about people you actually know. They find out someone picked them — never who.
Work out who it was
Every message carries clues pulled from the sender's real profile. Earn whisprs by playing, then spend them to unlock clues one at a time.
What's inside
Whisprs
A points system you earn by voting, whispering and starting polls. Spend them on clues. They cost nothing and can't be bought.
Clues, not guesswork
Their first initial, a class you share, their star sign, their vibe emoji — all pulled from the sender's real profile, so they're always true.
Your school only
Middle schools, high schools and universities. Join with your school's code, or get verified by classmates who already go there.
Leaderboard
See who's getting picked the most across your whole school, or just your grade.
Dark mode & big text
Full dark interface, Dynamic Type throughout, and nothing that relies on colour alone to make sense.
Report and block
Anything can be reported in two taps. Blocking is silent — they're never told.
Anonymous to classmates. Never untraceable.
This is the part we won't be cute about. Whisp hides who you are from other students — it does not hide you from us.
Everything is checked twice
Every whisper and poll question is filtered on the device and again on our servers before it's stored. Slurs, sexual harassment, targeted insults and anything encouraging self-harm are blocked outright. Polls that name real students also reject negative superlatives.
Reports reach a person
Tap ••• on any whisper, poll or vote to report it. Reports go to a moderator queue a human reads, and we aim to look at every one within 24 hours.
Moderators can't browse
Nobody can read student messages at will. Moderators only ever see content that's been reported, and every single thing they look at is written to an append-only audit log.
13 and over, enforced
Every account states a date of birth when it's created, and one that works out to under 13 is refused on our servers — not just in the app. Your birth year is never shown to anyone and is never used as a clue.
What costs money
Almost nothing. Whisp is free, clues are free to earn, and the only thing you can ever pay for is seeing a name.
One reveal
Unlocks a single sender's actual name. A one-time purchase — no subscription, nothing renews.
Whisp Unlimited
Every name, all month. Plus profile auras and avatar rings, a badge you can switch off, and ghost mode — which sends your whispers with no clues attached.
Renews monthly until cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; the month you've paid for carries on.
Prices are in US dollars and may differ in your country. Purchases are handled by Apple — refunds are requested from Apple, not from us. If you're under 18, ask whoever manages your Apple Account before buying.
Questions, or something to report?
We read every email, and anything about a student's safety jumps the queue.
